POSITION SUMMARY
The Adjunct RN BSN Clinical Instructor – Nursing Leadership provides clinical instruction and supervision to BSN students in leadership and management-focused practice settings. The instructor facilitates the development of leadership, delegation, collaboration, and systems-based practice skills. Students are guided in applying leadership principles to patient care, team coordination, and healthcare operations in alignment with institutional and accreditation standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Instruction and Supervision
- Supervise and instruct BSN students during leadership-focused clinical experiences in healthcare settings.
- Guide students in applying leadership and management principles in real-world environments.
- Facilitate clinical learning experiences in areas including:
- - Leadership styles and decision-making
- - Delegation and supervision of patient care
- - Interdisciplinary collaboration
- - Quality improvement and patient safety
- - Healthcare systems and organizational structure
- - Time management and prioritization
- Support students in transitioning from student nurse to professional RN role
Student Evaluation and Feedback
- Evaluate student performance through direct observation, leadership projects, reflective journals, and presentations.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback to support development of leadership and professional competencies.
- Complete midterm and final evaluations in accordance with program requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student attendance, performance, and competencies.
Clinical Coordination and Communication
- Collaborate with clinical site leaders (e.g., nurse managers, charge nurses) to coordinate student experiences.
- Communicate clinical objectives, expectations, and assignments clearly to students.
- Serve as a liaison between the nursing program and clinical facility leadership.

- Maintain current knowledge and competency in nursing leadership and healthcare management.
- Stay current with trends in healthcare leadership, patient safety, and quality improvement.
- Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum evaluation, and professional development activities as required.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and accreditation standards

QualificationsEducation
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) required; focus in leadership, administration, or education preferred.
- Doctoral degree (DNP/PhD) preferred.
Licensure
- Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience in nursing leadership, management, or supervisory roles in a healthcare setting.
Teaching/Precepting Experience
- Prior clinical teaching, precepting, or mentoring experience preferred, but not required
