Adjunct Staff Research Assistant – Aykanat Lab: This position is to assist Prof. Aylin Aykanat with research in her group lab.

Duties/Responsibilities

• This position’s duties will be to participate in research involving:

  • Conducting research on porous materials (MOFs, HOFs, COFs), polymers, and fiber composites for CO2 capture, hydrogen storage, and catalytic degradation of toxic chemicals.

  • Establishing techniques for investigating the stability of porous materials for real-world applications.

• Beyond the research roles, this position will be involved in:

  • Mentoring both graduate and undergraduate students.

  • Participating in writing manuscripts and grant proposals.

  • Assisting with lab clean up.

Requirements

Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience

• PHD in Chemistry.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Research knowledge involving the research on porous materials and polymers.

Compensation Pay Range:

$40.08 per hour
