Adjunct Staff Research Assistant – Aykanat Lab: This position is to assist Prof. Aylin Aykanat with research in her group lab.
Duties/Responsibilities
This position’s duties will be to participate in research involving:
Conducting research on porous materials (MOFs, HOFs, COFs), polymers, and fiber composites for CO2 capture, hydrogen storage, and catalytic degradation of toxic chemicals.
Establishing techniques for investigating the stability of porous materials for real-world applications.
Beyond the research roles, this position will be involved in:
Mentoring both graduate and undergraduate students.
Participating in writing manuscripts and grant proposals.
Assisting with lab clean up.
Requirements
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience
PHD in Chemistry.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Research knowledge involving the research on porous materials and polymers.
