The LSU Law Center seeks to hire an adjunct faculty member for the Legal Research Foundations class for the 2026-2027 Academic Year.
Course Description:
This course focuses on core legal research competencies. The successful candidate will be responsible for introducing law students to foundational skills, including the use of secondary sources, statutory research, case law research, regulatory research, and the use of AI tools as they relate to legal information and the practice of law. In addition to formative assessment throughout the school year, the class will have a formal summative assessment at the end of each semester. The adjunct will lead one section with approximately 20 students. This one-credit course will meet once, every-other week for the 2026-2027 academic year and follow a set syllabus.
Minimum Qualifications
-Juris Doctor from an ABA approved law school
Preferred Qualifications
-Juris Doctor from an ABA approved law school
-Three or more years of practice or teaching experience.
