Job Description

The Department of Mathematics and Technology at Flagler College is seeking a part-time instructor to teach undergraduate courses in the Computer Information Systems (CIS) program. This position will be required to teach in person at the St. Augustine location.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering in-person instruction and demonstrations
  • Supporting hands-on programming labs and projects
  • Managing course materials and grading through Canvas
  • Holding limited office hours to support student learning
  • Maintaining high standards of academic integrity and engagement

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming (C#, ASP.NET Core, and Visual Studio) and data science (Python and Excel).
  • Ability to teach programming and web development.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with all constituents.

Preferred:

  • Ph.D. and industry experience in software or web application development.
  • Experience teaching at the undergraduate level.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server, Entity Framework, Razor Pages, and MVC frameworks.
