We are currently seeking candidates for adjunct faculty positions teaching undergraduate criminal justice courses. Under the direction of the Chair of the Department of Criminal Justice, this position is responsible for teaching undergraduate criminal justice courses. The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic and collaborative department that prepares students for graduate study and meaningful careers in criminal justice and related fields. Job Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for teaching undergraduate criminal justice courses.

• Collaborate with colleagues in the Department of Criminal Justice and throughout the university.

• Adapt and align course materials using departmental syllabus templates, required text(s), and other resources.

• Provide regular and timely feedback on student work.

• Follow department and university policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Master's degree in criminal justice or closely related field

• Experience teaching college level criminal justice courses

• Ongoing professional development 

• Commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and student-centered learning that is supportive of all learners

• Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

• PhD in a criminal justice field, or doctoral degree in a closely related field 

• Experience with a variety of pedagogical and technological educational delivery methods
