About Drexel University College of Medicine at Tower Health
Drexel University College of Medicine at Tower Health is a four-year regional medical campus located in West Reading, Pennsylvania, established through a partnership between Drexel University College of Medicine and Tower Health.
The Drexel University College of Medicine seeks a highly motivated educator to collaboratively teach Neuroscience/Neuroanatomy content in the Phase I Foundations and Frontiers MD Curriculum. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate with interdisciplinary faculty, support active learning initiatives, and promote student success in foundational neuroscience and neuroanatomy
Essential Functions
- Teaching and Educational Activities
- Deliver content and facilitate in group-based workshop and team-based learning sessions in neuroscience, neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, and related disciplines as assigned
- Student Academic Support
- Provide academic advising, tutoring, and remediation support for students when needed
- Offer timely and constructive feedback to learners
- Curriculum Development
- Collaborate with the neuroscience thread team to enhance neuroscience educational materials
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Neuroscience, Neurobiology, Anatomy, Physiology, Medical Education, or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of foundational neuroscience and its clinical applications.
- Experience teaching undergraduate, graduate, health professions, or medical students.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to inclusive and student-centered education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching within an integrated medical school curriculum.
- Background in active-learning pedagogies, including TBL, PBL, or flipped classroom instruction.
