Summary

The Bachelor of Social Work Program within the School of Health Sciences at Regis College seeks an Adjunct Professor for the Spring, 2027 semester to teach various courses within the BSW curriculum. Classes are taught in person on the Weston, MA campus and will begin January 19, 2027, and run through final exams.

All applicants are required to have an earned Master’s in Social Work and hold a current license to practice. The ideal candidate will have at least three years prior college/university teaching experience at the undergraduate level; industry experience is also preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach one or more courses in the undergraduate BSW program
• Engage with all responsibilities associated with teaching: content preparation, grading, office hours, student engagement, academic assessment, etc.
• Communicate effectively with students in the classroom and through email
• Meet with Program Director periodically to discuss content, student progress, challenges, etc.

Qualifications

Qualified Candidates Must Possess

• MSW required; PhD preferred
• Current licensure in Social Work required
• 3-5 years college/university teaching experience at the undergraduate level
• Experience as a social worker preferred
• Commitment to creating an inclusive classroom learning environment in keeping with the University's commitment to inclusive excellence in a diverse educational community.
• Ability to collaborate with other faculty
• Ability to utilize technology necessary for teaching including but not limited to: Office 365, Moodle, library and other online resources

Working Conditions/Physical Demands*

• Ability to perform all duties necessary for classroom instruction
• Ability to utilize technology necessary for teaching, grading and communication with students
• May spend extensive time standing or sitting to perform teaching related duties
• May spend extended amounts of time utilizing a computer

Compensation: $4,607.61 (3 credit course)
