Job Description

MILLIKIN UNIVERSITY invites applications for a part-time (renewable), Adjunct Instructor of Music–Saxophone. Primary responsibilities include teaching applied lessons (classical & jazz) and weekly studio classes to Millikin students plus additional teaching assignments in the Millikin Community Arts Academy. Position begins August 2026.

Millikin University School of Music has been NASM accredited since 1934. It comprises a vibrant community of faculty and undergraduate students, offering Bachelor of Music degrees in Performance, Music Education, Commercial Music, and Music Business, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music. The School of Music’s curriculum embraces the interdisciplinarity of diverse musical and academic experiences. Qualifications

Master’s degree required. Documented history of professional activity in performance (solo, chamber, orchestral, jazz); evidence of successful teaching; and ability to attract and retain students are essential.
