
The department of Humanities and Social Sciences has periodic openings for part-time, adjunct faculty to teach on site or online in the Fine Arts: Music program. The primary responsibility will be teaching basic to advanced piano classes, individual applied music lessons in piano or other instruments, and upper-level music courses as needed in theory, music tech, composition, and music history. There may be opportunities for piano accompaniment as well. As part of our commitment to academic excellence, we are building a pool of skilled instructors who can contribute to students’ success through engaging and effective teaching. Applications from candidates available to teach on campus will be prioritized.
Adjunct instructors in Fine Arts: Music will primarily teach piano-based classes and lessons. There may be opportunities to teach upper-level music courses and to accompany ensembles. Courses may be offered face-to-face or online, though face-to-face is preferred. The principal responsibility of the position is teaching undergraduate students.
