Job Description

The Department of Economics & Finance within the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate Finance courses on a rolling basis. We welcome applicants who can bring academic and/or professional expertise to the classroom and support student success. Adjunct faculty are expected to bring diverse perspectives and practical experience to the classroom, contributing to the School’s mission of developing sought-after business leaders who possess the ethical character, Spiritan mindset, and solutions-oriented skills needed to be global difference makers.

Primary Responsibilities

· Teach assigned courses in the School of Business curriculum (in-person, hybrid, and/or online as applicable).

· Deliver high-quality instruction using innovative and inclusive pedagogical strategies.

· Assess student performance through assignments, projects, and exams.

· Collaborate with full-time faculty to ensure course content aligns with program goals and accreditation standards.

· Maintain availability for student consultation and support outside of scheduled class time.

· Be a good citizen of the University and promote the mission of the University.

Qualifications

Qualifications

· Earned master’s degree in Finance or a closely related discipline.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

· Enthusiasm for working with students.

Preferred

· Earned doctoral degree (PhD) in Finance or a closely related discipline.

· Minimum of 2–3 years of college/university-level teaching experience.

· Relevant professional experience (e.g., corporate finance, investments, banking, financial planning) is a plus.

· Experience teaching hybrid and/or online courses (for graduate assignments).
