Purpose of Role
The Education Department at Daemen University is seeking a qualified adjunct instructor for a course in undergraduate education programs. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching EDU 213: Foundations of Education, with oversight by the Chair of the Education Department for curriculum alignment and certification requirements.
About This Opportunity
Joining our Education team, the Adjunct Faculty will be responsible for the following:
1) to provide an overview of the historical, philosophical, curricular, and sociological foundations upon which pedagogical practice in the United States rests; 2) to analyze education as a social institution; 3) to discuss contemporary educational issues from an historical perspective; and 4) to discuss educational statutes, legislation, and judicial decisions as they pertain to classroom teachers. $3,000 per semester
