Adjunct - Family Nursing Practitioner On Campus Experience – Main Campus – Health Care Professions

Are you passionate about shaping future health care leaders and helping students discover their purpose? The College of Nursing and Health Care Professions at GCU is seeking a FPN Adjunct to provide feedback on student’s health assessment skills when interacting with a standardized patient.

What You Will Do

• Remain current with new trends and development in your field of expertise
• Provide positive feedback and recommendations for improvement to the student about health assessment techniques, diagnostic reasoning, and treatment protocols.
• Receive report from student of patient interaction, in SOAP format.
• Provide feedback to simulation staff about standardized patient interaction, and recommendations for future development of scenarios.
• Maintain compliance with requirements for program accreditation
• Uphold the tenets of nursing as a holistic profession as well as the pillars of the University
• Participate in and/or support of the university program in all areas including an evident congruence with the philosophy and direction of the institution, and service to the community
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University

What You Will Bring

• Preferred: Doctoral degree in Nursing or related field
• Required:
  • Master’s degree in nursing (FNP, ACNP), DO, MD, Master’s prepared Physician’s Assistant.
  • Nurses must maintain an active, current, and unencumbered RN license.
  • Current board certification required in area of practice.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Successfully pass a drug screen.
  • Proficient in English, Grammar, and writing in APA format.
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
