Job Location: Harrisonburg, VA 22802, POSITION: Adjunct Faculty

DEPARTMENT/PROGRAM: Undergraduate Nursing

PAY RANGE: $450 - $1,300 per semester credit hour (SCH). Faculty are contracted per SCH. Actual compensation within this range is determined by factors including academic credentials, relevant professional experience, discipline, and course enrollment. Courses with lower enrollment may be prorated within this range in accordance with university policy.

QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate degree with a BSN, or BSN and currently enrolled in a graduate program, or BSN with additional credentials, relevant clinical nursing experience, active RN license in Virginia

RESPONSIBILITIES: To serve as an adjunct faculty member for the undergraduate nursing program, teaching up to 9 credit hours per semester. Includes part of the following:

  • Undergraduate nursing class and clinical instruction, in person, on campus and in the community:
  • NURS 426 Nursing and Family in Community

POSITION DETAILS: Faculty are contracted per course. Salary determined by education.

APPOINTMENT DATE: Spring Semester, January through May 2027. EMU reserves the right to fill the position at any time or keep the position open.
