
The Department of Philosophy and World Religions seeks qualified adjunct faculty for various philosophy classes, including: Logic of Everyday Reasoning (informal logic), Philosophical Perspectives on Science (a general education philosophy of science course for non-majors), Intro to Philosophy, Intro to Ethics, Social & Political Philosophy, and Intro to Symbolic Logic.
Some of these courses are offered online, but candidates who can teach in person are preferred.

Qualifications: Candidates must have at least a Master’s degree in philosophy (or a closely related field). Previous college-level teaching experience is strongly preferred.

In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, and in accordance with the current MOA, Rowan University adjuncts are provided with a minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year. Courses will be assigned to instructors by College & Department on an as-needed basis.
