Keene State College is seeking an Adjunct Music Technology Faculty member to teach Music Technology courses within the Music Department during the Fall 2026 semester. The successful applicant must be able to teach in-person courses in the area of sound design. The course is offered Tuesday, Thursdays, 2:00-3:45 pm.
Keene State College has a NASM-accredited music program and is designated as an All-Steinway School. KSC offers degree programs in B.M. Performance, B.M. Composition, B.M. Technology, B.M. Music Education, and B.A. Music. The department services approximately 80 majors along with non-music majors participating in applied lessons and performing ensembles.
Duties/Responsibilities
Teach courses in the BM Music Technology degree program to undergraduate students
Prepare course syllabi as appropriate to course subjects/topics/skills, e.g.:
MU-311: Sound Design for Video
Design and deliver course content for assigned courses
Assess student learning
Assign grades
Mentoring students
Refer students to support services
Provide supplemental instruction and mentorship to students
Participate in appropriate department/unit meetings
Abide with USNH and KSC policies
Requirements
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
Master’s Degree, or a Bachelor's degree with demonstrated professional experience in sound design
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Proven organizational and communication skills
Familiarity with industry-standard sound-capturing technology
Fluency with music production tools such as Pro Tools, Logic, Adobe Audition, After Effects, and/or Premiere Pro; analog and digital snakes; analog and digital mixing boards; venue sound and speaker systems
Strong teaching skills, including curriculum and course design, content delivery, and assessment
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous teaching experience in music technology at the secondary and/or collegiate level.

Compensation Pay Range:
$800 per credit hour/$840 for terminal degree per credit hour
