The Opportunity

College of Arts and Creative Enterprises seeks qualified candidates to teach as adjuncts in Multimedia Design. These positions will be based at the Abu Dhabi or Dubai campus, with appointments beginning in August 2026.

It is anticipated that the successful candidate/s will make a valuable contribution to the development of the program in the College by forging strong relationships and liaising with local industry, as well as supporting an integrated approach of the curriculum. The candidate/s will encourage students to consider their future careers within a local, regional and international context and ensure that they are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to take up this challenge.

About the College

The College of Arts and Creative Enterprises offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with majors in Animation Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design, and Visual Art; a professional degree Bachelor of Architecture; and a Bachelor of Science degree in Multimedia Design with the College of Communication and Media Sciences and the College of Technological Innovation.

The College of Arts and Creative Enterprises aims to prepare students to become creative leaders in the arts and related industries. Its mission is to provide student artists and designers with an opportunity to explore and develop their own creative ideas while contributing to national initiatives in the culture of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and initiatives of the College that advocate innovative practices and research.

The Bachelor of Science in Multimedia Design

This interdisciplinary program emphasizes the acquisition of knowledge and skills in information technology, public media, and the arts to meet growing demand for multimedia graduates with broad expertise and leading-edge technical skills. The program encompasses the design, development, and deployment of interactive multimedia and prepares graduates to manage and develop multimedia initiatives across public and corporate sectors.

Qualifications

• The applicant must have earned a terminal degree in a relevant field (MFA, MA/MS, or PhD). that is, or can be recognized by the UAE Ministry of Education.
• The applicant must have a record of excellent teaching and/or professional trajectory in multimedia design, interactive media, digital storytelling, creative technologies, or related fields, in alignment with the program’s interdisciplinary vision.
• Candidates need to have specific academic or professional experience to be able to teach one or more of the following subjects:
  • Introduction to Media Storytelling / Digital Storytelling
  • Graphic Design I
  • Animation I and II
  • Fundamentals of Digital 3D
  • Multimedia Systems
  • Web Production / Human Computer Interaction
  • Game Design, Prototyping and Programming
  • Video Production / Multimedia Production
• Candidates should be proficient in relevant software and platforms across design, media production, interaction design, and creative coding.
• Candidates who can contribute to interdisciplinary teaching across art and design, media, and technology are especially desirable.
• Classes will be taught in person, and selected candidates must be in the UAE and have a valid UAE visa (the position will not provide sponsorship). Applicants are responsible for securing and maintaining their own visa status. Remote teaching opportunities are not available for these roles.
