Job Title: Adjunct Faculty - Mechanical Engineering

Location: University of New Haven, West Haven, CT

Session: SPRING 24

Position Type: Part-time/Temporary

We are seeking dedicated and passionate adjunct faculty members to teach various courses in our MS in Mechanical Engineering program for the SPRING 24 session. The ideal candidates will have expertise in one or more of the following broader areas:

•Numerical and Computational Techniques

•Finite Element Methods and Computer-Aided Engineering

•Thermodynamics and Combustion

•Dynamics, Vibrations, and Acoustics

•Solid Mechanics and Elasticity

•Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer

•Dynamic Systems, Control, and Instrumentation

Key Responsibilities:

•Prepare and deliver lectures to graduate students on topics specified in the course syllabus.

•Evaluate and grade students' assignments, projects, and examinations.

•Foster a positive learning environment and encourage student participation.

•Provide feedback to students regarding their performance and areas of improvement.

•Stay updated with the latest advancements in the field of Mechanical Engineering.

•Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

•PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field (preferred).

•Proven teaching experience in higher education.

•Strong knowledge in one or more of the broader areas listed above.

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

•Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students.
