The Opportunity

The College of Arts and Creative Enterprises seeks qualified candidates to teach as adjuncts in positions which are opening in the Graphic Design Program. These position(s) will be based at the Abu Dhabi or Dubai campus, with appointments beginning in August 2026.

It is anticipated that the successful candidate/s will make a valuable contribution to the development of the program in the College through forging strong relationships and liaising with the local industry, as well as support an integrated approach of the curriculum. The candidate/s will encourage students to consider their future careers within a local, regional and international context and ensure that they are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to take up this challenge.

About the College

The College of Arts and Creative Enterprises offers a professional degree Bachelor of Architecture. It also offers Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with majors in Animation Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design, and Visual Art, a Bachelor of Science degree in Multimedia Design with the College of Communication and Media Sciences and the College of Technological Innovation.

The College of Arts and Creative Enterprises aims to prepare students to become creative leaders in the arts and related industries. The mission is to provide student artists and designers with an opportunity to explore and develop their own creative ideas while contributing to national initiatives in the culture of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and initiatives of the college that will advocate innovative practices and research.

The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design

In Graphic Design, students acquire theoretical and practical knowledge in design and practice while developing a variety of skills in print and media design. Through their course work, students explore typography, packaging design, and web design. They also learn about project briefs, research, and client interaction, and how to pitch, develop, and finally implement design proposals. Through community engagement and team-directed and client-based projects, students are encouraged to understand the social and cultural dimension of any project in order to become innovative leaders in design

Qualifications

• The priority will be given to applicants who have earned a terminal degree in the relevant field (Ph.D /MFA) that is, or can be recognized by the UAE Ministry of Education.
• The applicant must have a record of excellent teaching and/or professional trajectory in the field and in alignment to the Programs’ vision.
• Candidates need to have specific academic or professional experience to be able to teach one or more of the following subjects

o Introduction to UI/UX Design (Dubai Campus)

o New Media (Dubai Campus)

o Arabic Typography (Abu Dhabi Campus)

• Substantial level of computer literacy and a good proficiency of usage of IT in education.
• Understanding of the local and regional context within a global framework, with reference to pedagogy
• Candidates with teaching, research or professional experience in the local and regional context, culture and built environment are preferred.
• Classes will be taught in person, and the selected candidates must be in the UAE and have a valid UAE visa (the position will not provide sponsorship). Applicants are responsible for securing and maintaining their own visa status. Please note that remote teaching opportunities are not available for these roles.
