Adjunct Faculty, Computer Science Programming and Development (Concentration in Quality Assurance)
Special Note: This is a part-time (adjunct) faculty position. Candidates will be interviewed and hired on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year.

Description: Teaches software testing Quality Assurance (QA) courses for the new Programming and Development (QA Concentration) degree. Prepares and delivers learning activities in order to achieve course outcomes Prepares course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments and handoutsEvaluates and grades students’ class work, laboratory work, assignments, papers, and examinationsMaintains and submits student attendance records, grades and other required documentation by specified deadlinesBe available to students for coaching Periodic meetings with supervisors, division, or College, relative to teaching duties and training and development
Required: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Math, or a related field or 5+ years’ experience as a Software TesterWillingness to learn and/or have experience in the use of instructional technologies to teach traditional, hybrid and/or distance learning classes Expertise in one or more specialty areas including, but not limited to: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, a JavaScript MVC framework, C#, Java, SQL, ASP, Net, PHP, Android, Swift, SAS, project management, and systems analysisAdvanced communication (verbal, written and interpersonal) and organizational skillsAppropriately responds to the needs of the communityPreferred: Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Math, or a related field2+ years industry/business experience in computer technologyHands-on experience testing in one or more of these areas: Web UI, Native App, Web API, Scripting, Load/Stress, Utilities Experience with both manual and automation testingGood understanding of software development life cycleTeaching experience

Special Note: This is a Part-Time Faculty position, with the following set rate of pay: $951.00/Equated Semester Unit (ESU)
