Ivy Tech Bloomington is looking for part time adjunct faculty to teach basic communication courses on campus, including "Fundamentals of Public Speaking" and "Introduction to Interpersonal Communication." We are looking for candidates with excellent communication skills who can inspire their students and create an impactful learning experience in a diverse collegiate environment. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for creating an active learning environment and providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided.
On-campus courses are scheduled for Mondays/Wednesdays and Tuesdays/Thursdays from 9am-11:50am and 1pm-3:50pm (8-week courses) or 6:00pm - 8:50pm (16-week courses). Daytime, on campus availability is required for this position.
Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as-needed basis. Adjuncts teach between 3 and 13 hours per week and make $46.75 per contact hour.

GENERAL PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION: Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as-needed basis. A qualified faculty member teaching COMM 101-Fundamentals of Public Speaking meets credentialing by one of two routes:
