The Department/College

The Department of Arabic Studies is part of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences which is an interdisciplinary college offering both graduate and undergraduate programs.

The Opportunity

Zayed University’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) (Abu Dhabi and Dubai) seeks energetic and innovative Arabic Language faculty able to contribute to the ongoing development of the UAE’s education system through teaching. Faculty will contribute to the preparation of graduates who will become exemplary bilingual professionals and future leaders able to serve national and regional development in one of the world’s most dynamic countries.

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) at Zayed University seeks Arabic language faculty at the Assistant professor level with expertise in teaching Arabic language and literature.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will fully meet the following expectations for the position:

• A Ph.D. in Arabic Language and Literature.
• A demonstrated record of excellence in teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses.
• A record of professional accomplishments in research, including published peer-reviewed work.
• The ability to integrate web-based or digital technology into the classroom.
• Ability to teach both native Arabic speakers and non-native speakers.
