The Department of Kinesiology is seeking qualified applicants for the open adjunct position within one of our content areas, including Exercise Science, Health Science, Health & Physical Education, and/or Sport Management and Leadership.
Duties/Responsibilities
Teaching the Course in the classroom (35%)
Deliver in-person lectures, responsibilities include presenting course content, guiding student learning, and fostering an engaging classroom environment. Utilize provided course materials and collaborate with program faculty as needed to ensure continuity of instruction.
Course Preparation and Grading (50%)
Evaluate student work in a timely manner, including exams, and assignments. Maintain accurate records of student progress, communicate expectations clearly, and provide feedback to support learning.
Office hours and student help (15%)
Hold limited office hours or availability as needed, and coordinate with program leadership regarding course progress and any student concerns.
Requirements
A minimum of a Master’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Health Science, Health & Physical Education, Sport Management & Leadership or a closely related field from a recognized college or university, and at least one year of teaching experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication and presentation skills are required; the ability to establish a rapport with students and maintain an environment that supports learning is required.

Preferred Qualifications
It is preferred that the successful candidate have a Master's degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Health Science, Health & Physical Education, and/or Sport Management & Leadership, teaching experience and 5+ years actively working in the field.

Compensation Pay Range:
Compensation is based on course credit hours. $3,100 for 1-2 credit course, and $6,100 for 3-4 credit course
