AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Department of Public Health Sciences invites applications for 2-3 Adjunct Assistant Professor positions to support our Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) accredited programs. The department offers Master of Public Health (MPH) and Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degrees and seeks experienced public health professionals and educators committed to excellence in teaching and student engagement.

Each position will teach one graduate-level course, facilitating student learning in online and/or in-person formats (Hershey Campus). Courses may include areas such as community engagement, population health, strategic planning and management, health policy, and related public health disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned graduate-level public health courses.
  • Develop and maintain course materials that align with program competencies and accreditation standards.
  • Facilitate engaging learning experiences for diverse student populations.
  • Assess student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Maintain regular communication with students and program leadership.
  • Participate in course planning and curriculum discussions as appropriate.
  • Adhere to university policies, accreditation requirements, and instructional best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Masters or Doctoral (preferred) degree in public health or related field
  • Professional experience in public health practice, research, healthcare, government, nonprofit organizations, or related settings.
  • Experience with online learning management systems (ie. Canvas).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to teach effectively in diverse learning environments.
