Job Description

The College of Nursing and Health Professions (CONHP) at Valparaiso University invites applications for an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy. This is a semester by semester appointment teaching one to two courses per semester.

Valparaiso University is a distinguished private university of 2,500 students located in Valparaiso, IN, one hour southeast of downtown Chicago. Candidates should be interested in working at a university engaged in issues in Christian higher education in the Lutheran tradition. The College of Nursing and Health Professions has programs in nursing (BSN and DNP), health care leadership (BSHL), health administration (MHCA), health science (BSHS), public health (BSPH and MPH), physician assistant studies (MSPA), and occupational therapy (DrOT, OTD).

This position is an adjunct appointment, beginning October 2026. The responsibilities of this position include delivery of the educational content of the OT program. The successful candidate must currently have or be eligible for Indiana state licensure as an occupational therapist with all licenses in good standing. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a registered occupational therapist (OTR) and a doctoral degree. Individuals from all practice settings and backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Current priorities are for individuals who have experience with older adults, mental health, and/or pediatric populations.
