Our personal injury division provides services through federal and state-based Workers Compensations, Motor Accident Schemes and Life Insurance. Acumen Health is Australia’s exclusive provider of Occupational Rehabilitation services to the Australian Defence Force.

As an ADF Rehabilitation Consultant, you will apply your clinical reasoning skills to support ADF personnel who have sustained a physical and/or psychological injury. • Taking a holistic care approach, work within a multidisciplinary team to support the journey from rehab to healing
• Perform a variety of assessments depending on your area of clinical expertise. This could include functional capacity evaluations, worksite, ergonomic or activities of daily living assessments
• Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders including the employee who has suffered injury, illness, or trauma, medical specialists, other treatment providers and allied health professionals
• Develop, implement and monitor rehabilitation plans.

KPI’s based on service delivery outcomes, NOT billable hours. Genuine person-centred focus and goal setting.

Set working hours means you can truly have WORK / LIFE balance – no overtime, no outside of work hours work. Enjoy early starts and early finishes working defence hours 7:30am - 3:30pm. One day a week you will be located on-base at the Singleton Military area. Enjoy more flexibility in your additional work days in a more hybrid arrangement.

What will make you successful:

• Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC or AASW)
• Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Osteopathy or Social Work
• Australian Citizenship
• Minimum of one year occupational rehabilitation experience in your registered allied health profession will be highly regarded
• Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of a common goal
• Passion to help people rehabilitate
