How You’ll Make an Impact

As Additives Technology Development Manager, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation,identification, technical assessment and execution of local chemistry, understanding future transportation technology requirements and translating the market and customer needs to valuable knowledge through strategic projects for the Lubrizol Additives business to support growth in Asia Pacific.

You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life. In this role, you will:

• Collaborate with global and local cross-functions and teams for component management
• Working with Component Management Technology Managers and leadership to expand and support global holistic component strategies
• Run local Management of Change (MOC) programs depending on business needs
• Develop competitive landscape for components and undertake competitive analysis projects
• Explore the external resources to support the regional development projects
• Uncover future hardware and industry changes related to the transportation, alternative energy applications and identify technology development opportunities based on that.
• Analyze technology gaps, propose technical approach and product options, and establish needed knowledge and capabilities aiming at winning in the targeted area.
• Advocate Lubrizol technology positions at OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, major customers, and industry meetings to achieve commercial success.
• Understand and develop Lubrizol’s “sustainability” technical position in APAC.

Required Qualifications that Enables Your Success

• Education Background: Chemistry/Chemical engineer/ or similar, PhD (preferred), minimum master’s degree.
• Fluent in English, proven communication skills both in written and verbal

• Desired features:

• Experienced managing complex projects with solid delivery.
• Ability to build and sustain relationships with internal teams and external partners.
• Good listener and influencer.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Experience and skills:
• Familiar with chemical formulation.
• Exposure to/understanding of transportation hardware and relevant analytical tools.
• Previous experience in transportation related chemical industry would be a plus.
