Job Description

Within the Türkiye Technology Center (TTC), the Additive Technologies team develops design, analysis, and production techniques using powder bed fusion additive manufacturing methods.

We are looking to hire a long-term manufacturing engineering intern for up to 11 months, with an initial 6-month period and an optional 5-month extension, to be employed in our laboratory.

Additive Manufacturing Engineering Intern will be responsible for supporting our team in design and manufacturing development studies and facilitating shop/team operations in the areas listed below.

The working location for this role is Gebze/Kocaeli. Site Overview:

GE Aerospace has an advanced engineering center located in İstanbul, Kartal, complemented by cutting-edge laboratories in Kocaeli and Gebze. • General operation and organization of the Additive Manufacturing Technologies laboratory
• Maintenance and preparation for production of additive manufacturing machines
• Organizing and tracking work procedures
• Supporting post-processing operations such as machining and measurement after additive manufacturing

The Ideal Candidate:

Who are eager to develop themselves in additive manufacturing technologies, have strong engineering knowledge, and wish to shape their career as a production engineer.

Required Qualifications:

• Studying in mechanical, mechatronics, metallurgy, manufacturing, and similar engineering departments at universities
• Must remain enrolled as a student throughout the internship period; preference given to third-year undergraduate students or master's degree students
• Proficient in English
• High sense of responsibility
• Strong analytical thinking skills
• Basic knowledge in process improvement and root cause analysis
• Part time working during the academic term (minimum 3 days a week) and full-time work during the summer term
• Willing to learn, with good communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in manufacturing technologies
• Knowledge of the working principles of additive manufacturing machines
• Proficiency in CAD programs
• Experience in the production field
