Our Hardware development team in Plymouth, MI develops Camera, Ultrasonic and Radar based driver assistance products.

We offer an internship (full time or part time) for 6 months or longer, or a Co-Op position to support the development team in our optical lab.

  • Support engineering debugging and development testing in lab and lab environment
  • Performing optical performance measurements using LabVIEW
  • Analyze and document the test results
  • Support developing LabVIEW programs
  • Support in documentation and process related tool
  • Create 3D models for fixtures. Work with 3D printer.
  • Support building mechanical fixtures.
  • Use Digital Multimeter (DMM), oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzer

Qualifications

Required

  • Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronic, or Physics
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Good communication skills and team work spirit
  • Ability to work independently and self-organized
  • Understanding of electronic design and circuits
  • Ability to read basic electronic schematics and wiring plans
  • Good working knowledge in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Ability to work in a lab environment

Preferred

  • Ability to work with basic electrical instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Ability to use basic electrical/mechanical hand tools and using soldering irons
  • Experienced in electronic design and controls
  • Experienced in Python or LabVIEW. Understanding of complex scripts
  • Mechanical understanding and hands-on experience
