Job Description

Job Location: Emilson Y - Hanover, MA 02339
Salary Range: $15.00 - $17.00 Hourly

The Partnership Program staff are responsible for the organization, delivery and quality of the Partnership Program to members and program participants. Staff must have the ability to connect with program participants, interns and trained volunteers. The Partnership Program is an adaptive, recreational, non-clinical fitness program designed specifically for people with physical disabilities. Participants of this program vary in age and ability level, but all need on-going support due to chronic diseases and disabilities.
- Adhere to the training guidelines when screening and advising participants on their fitness program.
- Provide a welcoming environment for members, volunteers and staff.
- Respond to incidents appropriately, calmly and professionally.
-  Deliver Partnership Program activities.

Qualifications
- Working towards/attaining a Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University in Exercise Science, Recreation Therapy, Physical Therapy or Adapted Physical Education; and
- Related experience with people with disabilities as well as the ability to work with people of varying needs.
- Nationally accredited foundation, such as:  NSCA, or ACSM, as a Certified Inclusive Fitness Trainer (CIFT), within 30 days of employment
- Strong organization skills in all aspects of the departments especially in regards to program and staff scheduling.
- CPR &First Aid must be completed  within 30 days of employment
- Demonstrated skills in management, staff and volunteer development, planning, supervision and fund raising are important to this position.
- Technically proficient with the Microsoft office suite.
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to develop positive, effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, community partners and members are critical to this position.
- Effective teaching skills, the ability to deliver excellent customer service, and a high level of enthusiasm are required.
