Job Description

Could you be Incommunities new Adaptations Coordinator? This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of our Disabled Adaptations service for our residents, ensuring its high-quality and customer-focused. You'll manage budgets and contracts, work with partners to deliver adaptations and use performance data to continuously improve the service.

We are a social housing landlord and one of the largest housing providers in the region with over 22,000 social and affordable homes, mainly in the Bradford district. We employ a talented workforce of nearly 1,000 people.

Duties include:

  • Deliver the Disabled Adaptation (DA) service in line with organisational policies and procedure
  • Liaise with residents, Occupational therapists and Local Authorities, as well as other colleagues and departments across the business throughout the DA application process to ensure smooth progression
  • Collaborate and case manage with local authorities to develop partnerships, establish funding arrangements and ensure effective service delivery
  • Review and implement clear processes for service delivery, including internal SLAs and contract management KPIs
  • Control expenditure within approved budgets and prepare proposals for future budget provisions
  • Maintain comprehensive records of applications, cases, and completed works in Customer Relationship Management or Asset Management systems as appropriate
  • Produce regular reports and KPI data on service delivery, budget forecasting, and customer satisfaction, including improvement recommendations
  • Recommend service delivery improvements and collaborate with colleagues and customers to review policies and processes for a customer-first approach

Requirements

  • Practical experience in managing adaptation services or similar housing-related repairs for residents
  • Recent experience of undertaking general administration / co-ordination of works within a Housing or Local Authority
  • Experience of coordinating services dealing with the needs of residents within budget and resolving complex cases
  • The ability to follow policy and process but use judgement, compassion and any financial constraints to deliver for our customer or collaborate with customers throughout their DFG journey
  • Knowledge of Disabled Facilities Grant process, expectations and recovery
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt your approach and explain complex information clearly and logically to different stakeholders both verbally and in writing
  • Good IT skills, confident using MS Office applications, as well as the ability to use other IT systems
  • Right to Work in the UK - Visa Sponsorship is not available
  • A basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required for the successful candidate as part of the pre-employment process - Criminal Conviction Checks
