Job Description

WJCL the ABC affiliate in Savannah Georgia, a part of Hearst Television, is looking for an organized detail-oriented team player with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively. A positive attitude and professional demeanor are essential, along with the flexibility to work in a rapidly changing environment. Individual will work closely with the sales team to ensure effective placement of sales orders and programming schedules. Specifically, you will work with the sales force on processing advertising contracts, obtaining creative materials, generating support materials for sales team, and coordinating the scheduling and launch of advertising campaigns. This is a great opportunity in a growing organization, for someone who is able to maintain a high-level of accuracy and remain calm under pressure. This role reports to the Sales Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Entering and maintaining all national and local orders, including electronic transfer and maintenance of all WOCentral orders to WideOrbit.
  • Learning all aspects of traffic department and working hand and hand with traffic support.
  • Effectively communicate with internal teams (sales, production, finance) and external clients on delivery and performance of sales campaigns.
  • Maintain organized filing systems.
  • Work cooperatively with managers, co-workers, and clients to deliver a high-level of service.
  • Assign materials to each order in accordance with scheduling requirements.
  • Collect traffic instructions from account executives and advertising agencies to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Maintain communication with sales and production teams regarding material deadlines and specifications.
  • Monitor and resolve any discrepancies in traffic logs and materials.
  • Oversee the program grid, ensuring all shows are scheduled correctly and efficiently.
  • Attach show numbers to programs and maintain an organized system for tracking.
  • Keep up-to-date records of program changes, updates, and cancellations, ensuring all stakeholders are informed.

  • Team player - you will be working will all levels in the organization
  • Must be computer literate and experienced with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of WideOrbit Traffic System; training will be provided
