The Role

We're hiring an Ad Monetization Manager to optimize monetization and revenue yield across our growing portfolio of mobile apps, with a primary focus on ad monetization. This is a highly strategic and analytical role, working cross-functionally with product, data and analytics, growth, and advertising partners to ensure Mode is maximizing revenue across our inventory, offers, and audiences.

The Ad Monetization Manager will own and grow our ad monetization surfaces, managing ad providers and demand sources, managing pricing floors, analyzing performance, and driving data-informed decisions that grow total and per-user revenue.

This is a high-impact, high-autonomy, fully remote role with significant visibility and upside, ideal for someone with strong adtech experience, an AI-native way of working, and a bias for driving measurable results.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and own Mode's monetization and yield strategy including waterfall management, mediation setup, ad placement configuration across the portfolio
• Design and optimize in-app ad placements, formats and user segmentation strategies to improve ARPDAU, eCPM, fill rate and overall LTV.
• Build and maintain relationships with ad network partners and account managers to maximise performance.
• Monitor and manage ad creative quality across networks, reviewing served ads, handling player-reported ad issues, and using network-side blocking tools to maintain a high-quality user experience.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, reporting, and experimentation, embedding them into monetization workflows to scale your impact across the portfolio
• Partner with product, engineering, and media teams to identify and prioritize opportunities for inventory improvements, new monetization mechanics, or fill rate enhancements
• Be the internal expert ad monetization mechanics, best practices, and trends across the mobile and reward-based app ecosystem

Who You Are

• A highly organized individual who can run multiple monetization workstreams in parallel without letting details slip
• Data-driven and rigorous, you back decisions with clear reasoning and are comfortable both challenging assumptions and being challenged
• High-ownership and self-directed - you take a problem and run with it, and can be trusted to drive workstreams independently
• Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities, you create structure and momentum where there isn't any
• Skilled at using data, A/B experimentation, and intuition to make the best possible decisions.

What You Bring to the Team

• +3 years of experience in advertising monetisation, ad operations or revenue-related roles, ideally within mobile app/gaming or digital products.
• Experience working with SSPs, ad servers, mediation platforms, header-bidding, and auction-based monetization strategies
• Strong familiarity with Admob Mediation Pro and Max Mediation
• AI-native: you default to AI tools to work faster and at greater scale, and actively look for ways to build them into your day-to-day workflow
• Proven track record of optimizing monetization performance and delivering incremental revenue
• Strong ownership mindset, highly organized, and able to drive multiple workstreams in parallel while operating cross-functionally—a must for this role
