A&D Manager – South India Position Summary:

The A&D (Architecture & Design) Manager is responsible for building and strengthening relationships within the architecture, interior design and workplace consulting communities to drive specification and demand for MillerKnoll portfolio. The role acts as the primary link between the design community, dealer partners, sales teams, and brand specialists, ensuring MillerKnoll solutions are considered and specified in projects across the South India region.

The A&D Manager develops and executes strategic engagement plans, educates the design community on the MillerKnoll portfolio, identifies project opportunities, and supports the conversion of specifications into successful sales outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

A&D Community Engagement

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, workplace strategists, project management consultants, and end-user influencers.
  • Position MillerKnoll as a trusted thought leader and workplace design partner.
  • Conduct regular meetings, presentations, product showcases, and educational sessions with the design community.
  • Identify and engage key decision-makers and emerging influencers within target firms.

Specification Development

  • Drive specification opportunities for MillerKnoll products and ancillary solutions across workplace, education and mixed-use projects.
  • Collaborate with designers to develop furniture strategies and product recommendations that align with project objectives.
  • Provide product knowledge, design + concept consultation, finish guidance, and space planning support.
  • Track specifications and influence projects through all stages of the design and procurement process.

Business Development

  • Build and execute an annual A&D engagement strategy aligned with regional business goals.
  • Identify upcoming projects, market trends, and growth opportunities.
  • Increase brand visibility and market share within the design community.
  • Supports lead generation efforts and contributes to pipeline growth.

Collaboration with Dealers & Sales Teams

  • Partner closely with dealer sales teams, MillerKnoll sales leaders and brand representatives to develop project strategies.
  • Facilitate introductions and opportunities between design firms and dealer partners.
  • Support project pursuits, presentations, workshops, and client engagement activities.
  • Ensure a seamless transition from specification to quotation and order fulfillment.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Number and quality of A&D firm relationships established and maintained.
  • Specification value generated and influenced.
  • Conversion of specifications into revenue opportunities.
  • Growth in MillerKnoll brand awareness within the design community.
  • Number of educational sessions, events, and presentations conducted.
  • Pipeline development and project tracking effectiveness.
  • Dealer and sales team engagement and satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Architecture, Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in the commercial interiors, furniture, workplace, or design industry.
  • Good presentation, relationship-building, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred

  • Experience working with global commercial furniture brands.
  • Knowledge of workplace strategy, design trends, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Experience collaborating with dealer networks and specification sales teams.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and project tracking tools.
  • Established network within the architecture and interior design community.
