What are we looking for in a Program Manager?

The Program Manager provides direction, support, and guidance to assigned staff. Provides crisis outreach services to clients experiencing acute emotional crises. Strives to stabilize the client's crises in the least restrictive setting possible. Provides evaluation under the Involuntary Treatment Acts to include behavioral health and substance use disorders.

Program Manager duties may include:

  • Effectively provides consultation regarding behavioral health needs of clients
  • Demonstrates and utilizes knowledge of development in children, youth and young adults
  • Conducts and documents on-going clinical supervision consistent with Comprehensive Healthcare's policies and procedures, and consistent with the requirements for the supervised employee's professional credentials
  • Utilized appropriate crisis intervention techniques for client stabilization
  • Makes initial contact with referent and client to gather information on presenting problem
  • Utilizes appropriate crisis intervention techniques for client stabilization
  • Effectively and legally interviews applicants and makes appropriate staff selections
  • Demonstrates and utilizes knowledge of normal aging process and age-related changes
  • Completes all required service notes according to Comprehensive Healthcare's guidelines, policies and procedures regarding format, content and timelines
  • Provides direction, supervision, coaching, training and regular performance feedback to build employee skills and support progress toward goals



Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in social or behavioral science or related field
  • Must be eligible for designation as a Mental Health Professional and Designated Crisis Responder
  • Must have Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration
  • Must have valid driver's license, vehicle liability insurance, and a minimum of two years of safe driving experience
  • In compliance with state and federal law, Comprehensive Healthcare requires all candidates to complete a post-offer, pre-employment drug screen and background check.
