The Occupational Therapist provides evaluation and treatment of hospital inpatients and outpatients in a range of specialty programs.
Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with patient, physicians, families, community and business contracts.
Effectively applies clinical and academic knowledge into treatment and departmental programs.
Demonstrates efficient, appropriate documentation skills as set by department policies and procedures.
Demonstrates mature approach to professional employment status.
Promotes a positive work environment by demonstrating teamwork.
Practices effective communication in all interactions (patient, visitor, co-worker, etc,)
Adheres to departmental policies and procedures.
Participates to continuing education programs and department meetings.
Demonstrates professional/ethical behavior. Adheres to professional code of ethics in the performance of duties in accordance to the AOTA.
Participates appropriately in the supervisory relationship.
Provides instruction for home care and treatment.
Licensure: State of Michigan Licensure in good standing.
