What you’ll do:

  • Lead the development, enhancement, and monitoring of pricing and ratemaking models, methodologies, and processes.
  • Analyze portfolio performance, emerging experience, market trends, and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities and recommend pricing actions.
  • Develop actuarially sound rate indications and ratemaking proposals to support profitability, growth, and customer retention objectives.
  • Collaborate with Product, Underwriting, Distribution, Claims, and Business Development partners on strategic pricing and broker initiatives.
  • Consolidate insights from actuarial, analytics, and other centers of excellence to formulate pricing recommendations and business decisions.
  • Research and apply traditional actuarial techniques as well as advanced analytical methods to solve business challenges and enhance pricing effectiveness.
  • Prepare and support regulatory rate filings and document actuarial pricing processes, methodologies, and models.
  • Manage pricing and ratemaking projects, overseeing technical design, scope, timelines, implementation, and stakeholder communications.
  • Coach junior staff and act as a technical expert and mentor for senior and junior analysts.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, Math or Statistics or other related subjects.
  • Working towards ACAS/FCAS designation.
  • Minimum 4 years of P&C work experience, including 2 years of experience as a Senior Analyst is preferred.
  • Focus on enhancing the customer experience.
  • Actuarial curiosity to learn and explore new solutions.
  • Strong mathematical and statistical background.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in programming.

  • Experience with Python, MS Access, SAS and VBA.

What you’ll get:

  • The salary band for this position ranges from $105,000 to $134,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
