Data is everywhere. Insights and impact are not. Spend your summer learning the skills to grow as a modern actuary and leader.
The Cigna Group’s Actuarial Executive Development Program (AEDP) offers a premier 11-week internship that prepares future actuaries to apply data with sound judgment, connect analysis directly to real business decisions, and operate in an evolving environment shaped by advanced analytics and AI-enabled tools. As an intern, you’ll solve complex business problems with real constraints and imperfect information, take ownership of a high-impact project from problem definition through recommendation, and gain exposure to people that drive healthcare forward.
Our internship is a key pipeline into full-time roles in the AEDP — our primary pathway for developing top actuarial talent. You’ll receive support and mentorship from experienced actuaries and leaders while sharpening your technical foundation and building the communication, business insight, and leadership skills needed to influence outcomes.
Key Intern Responsibilities:
• Own a high‑impact actuarial or analytical project aligned to real business needs. or to actuarial and strategic priorities
• Analyze data to uncover insights that support pricing, forecasting, reserving, or strategic initiatives.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to actuarial and business stakeholders.
• Apply classroom knowledge to real‑world problems, learning how actuarial work influences business decisions.
• Collaborate with peers and mentors across teams and locations.
• Develop technical, professional, and leadership skills through training, feedback, and hands‑on experience.
What You’ll Gain as an AEDP Intern – Our interns are not observers, they are contributors. By the end of the summer, you’ll have a deeper understanding of the actuarial profession, stronger professional skills, and clarity about how you want to grow your career.
We're seeking curious, driven individuals who are eager to learn, grow, and lead, who are excited to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting to join our AEDP Summer internship experience.
