Mather Fold House

£13.45 per hour

Part Time – 20 hours

Mather Fold has an opportunity for an Activity Coordinator to join our team. This role is offered on a part time basis working 20 hours per week.

Mather Fold House is located in High Walton, a suburb of Preston. It offers residential support for six adult males and females, including autistic people and individuals with a learning disability.

We can also support those who have:

  • Mental health needs
  • Difficulties with communication
  • Mild to moderate behaviour that may challenge
  • Epilepsy

What you'll be doing

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service and to support the wellbeing of our residents.

  • Prepares plans and delivers a wide range of activities and programmes that are tailored to meet the needs and abilities of the individual
  • Providing group activities and programmes to bring the residents together
  • Participates in site wide programmes and activities, and in other home programmes, with the agreement of line manager
  • Is able to creatively plan activities to meet the needs of service users

What you'll bring to the role

You will be a creative individual who has experience working within a similar environment. As such, you will have developed the necessary knowledge and skills to be able to contribute ideas to develop home activities. Ideally, you will also have a full UK driving license for a minimum of 3 years.

Educated to GCSE/O-Level standard (A–C) or holding a relevant NVQ Level 2, the role requires experience gained within a related clinical or therapeutic environment. Due to the nature of the position, there is frequent interaction with staff, patients, and visitors, requiring the effective exchange of information. Well-developed communication, observational, and listening skills are essential to accurately assess patients and respond appropriately to their needs.
