Activities Assistant (Part-Time)

Grand Villa of Palm Bay is seeking a dedicated and experienced Activities Assistant to join our team in providing engaging recreational therapy and support with activities of daily living for our valued senior residents. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents while working in a warm and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Activities Director in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities

- Support residents with activities of daily living, promoting independence and well-being

- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages social interaction and engagement

- Help coordinate special events and outings to enhance residents' quality of life

- Monitor and document residents' participation and response to activities

- Ensure the safety and comfort of residents during activities and daily routines

Skills and Qualifications:

- Prior experience in recreational therapy, activities assistance, or a related field preferred

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to residents' needs

- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends

- Creativity and enthusiasm for engaging seniors in meaningful activities

- Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in senior care
