Activities Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Activities Director in planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of recreational activities tailored to seniors' interests and abilities
• Motivate and encourage residents to participate in activities to promote socialization, physical activity, and mental engagement
• Participate actively in activities alongside residents, fostering a fun and inclusive environment
• Help coordinate special events, outings, and themed programs to enhance residents' quality of life
• Monitor residents' participation and provide feedback to ensure activities meet their needs and preferences
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment during all activities

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in recreational programming, activities coordination, or a related field preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to motivate and engage seniors in a variety of activities
• Creative, energetic, and enthusiastic with a positive attitude
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Flexibility to adapt activities based on residents' needs and feedback
• Basic knowledge of safety procedures and ability to promote a safe environment
