In this role, you'll:


Working as part of the Active Transport Integration team within Planning, Integration & Passenger, this role supports the integration of walking and cycling outcomes into transport policy, planning, and infrastructure projects across Transport for NSW and partner agencies. The team plays a critical role in embedding active transport priorities into multi modal decision making and delivery processes.

This role will see you provide technical and strategic advice, collaborate with development, delivery, planning and policy teams, and contribute to the development and delivery of active transport projects, pilots and initiatives. You will also support the review and alignment of guidance, standards and project documentation, while building internal capability and promoting best practice approaches to active transport infrastructure development and integration. You will build consistent, integrated active transport outcomes in a complex, multi stakeholder environment, navigating competing priorities, cross agency coordination and diverse community and place based needs.

About you


Your strong analytical, stakeholder engagement and technical active transport planning and engineering skills, will see you successfully integrate walking and cycling priorities into projects, policies and programs and deliver improved safety, accessibility and connectivity outcomes. You’re recognised as a collaborative and credible adviser, skilled at translating strategic objectives into practical planning and delivery outcomes and experienced in working across disciplines and agencies to support coordinated, customer focused transport solutions.

You have experience integrating walking and cycling planning, policy, and infrastructure development/delivery within broader transport and land use contexts, supported by experience using or developing technical guidance, standards, or planning tools. You understand government planning processes, multi modal integration, and stakeholder coordination, and hold a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience.

This is a permanent full-time role based in Sydney CBD (Elizabeth St). The salary for this position is a Transport Grade 8 ($141,678 - $158,677) per annum plus superannuation.
