Active Schools aims to provide more and higher quality opportunities to take part in sport and physical activity before school, during lunchtime and after school, and to develop effective pathways between schools and sports clubs in the local community.
This is a brand-new opportunity to join the Fife Active Schools team, to support children & young people to engage or re-engage with sport and physical activity
The Role will include:

You will be educated to SCQF level 7, which includes HNC or Advanced Highers or equivalent experience and have experience of working with children in an education, sport, health, leisure and/or recreation environment.
Experience in supporting pupils/children individually or in small groups in school/curricular & extra-curricular sport and physical activities.
You will be able to identify good practice and promote the role of physical activity incorporating sport, play, health and active travel, as a contributor to community development.
You will also be able to show good organisation, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work both individually and part of a wider team.
Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
As this role requires SSSC registration, the successful applicant will have three months to apply for registration.
If appointed, you must start your application as soon as possible so you're registered within the required six months.
If you need to achieve a qualification to maintain your SSSC membership, information will be provided if you are appointed. You must ensure you complete the qualification within the specified timeframe.
