Requirements


The Active Directory Services (ADS) team is responsible for the configuration and management of Active Directory and Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM). This team plays a key role in managing Active Directory group and user objects, as well as handling the lifecycle of accounts through the joiner, mover, and leaver process. By collaborating with infrastructure and application teams, the ADS team ensures business continuity and maintains the security of the organization’s platforms. The team also interfaces with business application owners to provide support and guidance.


Responsibilities:

Operational:

  • Administer and manage Active Directory Services.

  • Manage and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPO).

  • Work with Global Catalog Servers and Schema.

  • Support and implement global standards for authentication, authorization, and directory services.

  • Create and maintain documentation for AD environment management as needed.

  • Establish and uphold best practices and procedures for onboarding, transfers, and offboarding of AD accounts (user, service, generic, vendor).

  • Contribute to the processes and procedures used for system deployment, maintenance, and administration, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.

  • Manage the production and maintenance of system documentation and standard operating procedures.

  • Develop knowledge base articles and documentation for other support members/teams.

  • Perform problem management, including identifying re-occurring issues and documenting solutions or workarounds.

  • Collaborate with the IT Services team on design and troubleshooting.

  • Work with vendors to maintain software and hardware, ensuring they stay within supported versions.

  • Participate in an ADS team on-call rotation outside normal working hours to resolve major incidents.

  • Track process improvements and engage in continual service improvement management.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a geographically dispersed team.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service requests (Break-fix).

  • Perform routine infrastructure availability checks and tasks.

  • Document disaster recovery procedures and conduct regular testing.


Qualifications:


  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology.

  • Experience:

    4 to 6 years in a similar role within an enterprise organization.


Essential Skills:


  • Strong knowledge of AD architecture and infrastructure, including LDAP, Directory Replication, Restoration, Group Policy, Security, and Schema changes.

  • Experience with DNS, Kerberos, and Windows Authentication, including Single Sign-On (SSO) integration with other technologies.

  • Expertise in troubleshooting Group Policy on both local workstations and servers.

  • Awareness of Cybersecurity and Vulnerability Management.

  • Understanding of ransomware prevention and mitigation.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Familiarity with ITIL V3 Service Operations (Event, Incident, Change, and Problem Management).

  • Ability to clearly communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong understanding of the ITIL framework.


Certifications:


  • Required:

    MCSA Windows Server 2016

  • Preferred:

    ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation, Security+
