Birmingham City Council are seeking two Acquisition Project Leads to play a key role in delivering our Housing Strategy by securing more genuinely affordable homes across the city.
The Council's Housing Strategy set out a refreshed approach to the delivery of affordable housing, and a key part of this role is focused on acquisitions and land led development.
We are looking for individuals with a development, allocations or Homes England background to support this program. The successful postholder will be responsible for delivering a portfolio of acquisitions and must be motivated, enthusiastic and be able to demonstrate an understanding of partnership working and operational collaboration. The sole focus of this role is around delivering genuinely affordable housing so a passion for improving outcomes for people in the city on a lower income and unable to access the housing market is a must.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage a portfolio of residential acquisitions, contributing directly to inward investment and housing growth. The role is pivotal in identifying funding opportunities, developing business cases, and ensuring successful delivery of acquisitions programmes.
Outside of that, we are looking for a capable project manager, with a can-do attitude wanting to make a difference for Birmingham residents. If you think this could be you then we look forward to seeing an application.
This is a hybrid role, and onsite attendance is subject to service needs.
