MANTECH seeks a motivated and customer-oriented Acquisition Program Strategist to join our team in El Segundo, CA

The Acquisition Program Strategist will help protect our national security by assisting in all aspects of Government acquisition processes, contract business support, and contract analysis. This role is essential for navigating complex procurement lifecycles and ensuring that mission-critical requirements are translated into executable contracts.

You will act as a technical and strategic advisor, developing documentation that bridges the gap between high-level mission needs and detailed contractual execution for the Space Force.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Developing, technically assessing, and updating program and project deliverables, including all required contract documentation
  • Creating draft government acquisition strategies, requests for proposals (RFPs), and supporting documentation for formal government review
  • Assisting in all aspects of Government acquisition processes and contract business support, including documenting recommendations for contract submittals
  • Performing technical evaluations of Basis of Estimates (BOE) in proposals and drafting sole source Justification & Approval (J&A) memoranda
  • Drafting Acquisition Strategy plans, Performance Work Statements (PWS), Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) summaries, and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
  • Developing incentive plans, financing plans, proposal instructions, and evaluation criteria to ensure robust procurement outcomes
  • Providing analyses and recommendations for program reporting, configuration control, action tracking, and coordination of the documentation review process
  • Integrating program tasks and providing technical assessments for post-RFP release activities, including sole source fact-finding and negotiations support

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree
  • 9+ years of experience in Program Management, Acquisitions, or Contracting in relevant fields
  • 2+ years of specific experience in NSSL, Launch/Range, DoD, NASA, or industry equivalent space systems
  • Strong background in government weapon systems acquisitions or government contracting processes
  • Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and IT systems including SharePoint-type databases

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Business or a related field
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Proven ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams and lead technical assessments in high-pressure environments
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with experience presenting complex acquisition data to senior leadership

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
