Essen Health Care is the largest privately held, multispecialty medical group in New York, providing high-quality, compassionate care to some of the state’s most vulnerable and underserved residents.
Founded in 1999, we’ve grown from a single primary care office into a network of 50+ locations offering urgent care, primary care and specialty services, from women’s health to endocrinology and psychiatry. We also provide nursing home support, care management, and in-home care through our Essen House Calls program. Guided by a Population Health model, our team of 500+ providers deliver care in-person, at home, or via telehealth, ensuring patients get the support they need when and where they need it.
We’re looking for talented, motivated individuals to join our growing team. Whether you’re a medical provider, administrator, or operations professional, there’s a career here for you. Join us in making a real difference in the health of our community.
Medicare funds a concierge program for the highest-needs patients, in return for provably improving healthcare outcomes and reducing hospitalizations. The role of the Inside Sales Specialist is to educate patients about this program, about how this program can help them, and to assist them in enrolling in this program. You’ll receive lists of patients identified as eligible about the program, outreach them, and gather consents. We are looking for someone with sales experience, who understands how to do a consultative sale, how to make the patient feel empowered throughout the discussion, rather than pitched at, and who can be self-organized to outreach to, and follow-up with, their contacted patients as needed and deliver against a target enrollment rate.
- Learn the details of the program and the context in which it is offered so that you can help patients and their families to understand the value it will bring to their lives. Some understanding of the health care industry and terminology (not clinical) is required.
- Call, or otherwise outreach, patients constantly throughout the day, bringing a positive energy and enthusiasm to each call.
- Keep track of patients outreached in such a way that you can complete additional follow-up and follow-through using excel-based tracking sheets.
- Consult the patient’s Electronic Health Record prior to each call in order to understand a little about where the patient is in their healthcare journey, so you can better tailor the conversation to their needs.
- Suggest improvements to how you might approach the call and discussion of the program based on how patients respond to your conversation.
- Surface patient needs and work with Care Management team to address those needs in real time to “show, not tell” the value of the services we provide.
- Assist elderly and otherwise not highly technological patients and family members with completing an e-Consent form for enrollment in the program.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of forms and submissions for patients wishing to enroll.
- Understand compliance issues related to how the program is discussed and pitched, and ensure your organic patient conversations remain within the “rules of the road.”
- Support audits and regulatory reviews by maintaining proper documentation and compliance standards.
