We are seeking an experienced Acidizing Supervisor to oversee field operations for production enhancement (PE) and acid treatment jobs in West Texas. This role is responsible for leading field crews, managing on-site execution, and ensuring all acidizing operations are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and client standards.
The Acidizing Supervisor serves as the on-site operations leader during PE jobs and is accountable for crew performance, equipment readiness, chemical handling, job execution, and safety compliance. This position works closely with operations management, engineering, dispatch, and clients to deliver successful well stimulation results.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Execution & Job Oversight
- Lead day-to-day acidizing field operations, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of treatment jobs.
- Serve as the operations lead for acidizing and PE operations on location.
- Oversee all phases of acid treatment operations, including job planning, rig-up, execution, and rig-down.
- Verify correct acid systems, additives, and concentrations are used per job design.
- Monitor pressures, flow rates, and job conditions to ensure safe and effective execution.
- Direct on-site activities to ensure treatments are executed according to job design, procedures, and client requirements.
- Maintain equipment, truck units, chemical tanks, and inventory (acids, corrosion inhibitors, surfactants).
- Prepare job reports, safety documentation, chemical usage logs, and field paperwork.
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, engineers, and dispatch.
Field Operations & Crew Supervision
- Lead and supervise acidizing crews and field operations during PE jobs.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to ensure safe, efficient job execution.
- Train, mentor, and develop acidizing operators and lead hands.
- Ensure crews are competent in acidizing procedures, equipment operation, and safety.
- Provide performance feedback and support career development.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability and operational excellence.
Safety Leadership and Risk Management
- Enforce company and client HSE policies and regulatory requirements to the highest standard.
- Lead safety meetings, JSAs, and hazard identification processes.
- Ensure safe handling, storage, and transfer of acid and hazardous chemicals.
- Confirm PPE compliance and safe work practices at all times.
- Verify that approved safety and operational improvements are implemented and sustained within your assigned crew.
- Lead and support the SSE (short service employee) Program including ensuring adequate training, participating in the review committee, assessing competency, validating readiness, and participating in the committee’s determination of eligibility for graduation from the program.
- Model and reinforce a strong safety culture centered on accountability, consistency, and environmental stewardship.
- Serve as a visible safety leader and trusted resource for operations employees.
- Support regional HSE initiatives, safety meetings, and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience executing and supervising acid stimulation (or similar) jobs.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- - Acid systems (HCI, organic acids, blends, inhibitors, surfactants)
- - Pumping equipment and chemical units
- - Iron configuration and pressure control
- - Well stimulation and production enhancement processes
- Proven ability to troubleshoot technical and operational issues in real time.
- Experience leading crews in high-risk, safety-critical environments.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
- Ability to work extended shifts and overtime hours as required for the job
- Familiar with Permian Basin operations and specialty production enhancement treatments strongly preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in acidizing, well stimulation, or pressure pumping.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to work in outdoor and inclement weather conditions
- Ability to work extended or irregular hours as business needs require
- Ability to travel overnight within the assigned region
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, reach, lift (up to 50lbs+), push, and pull as required
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving or performing administrative tasks
- Ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively in both field and office environments
