Job Description

Join ACE Rent-A-Car, a leading global rental agency with 300+ locations worldwide. Our MSP Airport location is proudly operated by the Walser Automotive Group, a Minnesota-based, family-owned company committed to excellence, efficiency, and outstanding customer care.

Compensation: $18.00hr + incentives

What You’ll Do:

  • Welcome all customers promptly and use appropriate greeting as guests arrive on the lot or at kiosk/counter
  • Remind customers to check for personal belongings. Identify any items found in the vehicle with a unit number, date and time and turn into lost and found
  • Advise and review rental charges; provide an accurate receipt to the customer
  • Provide information in a professional and courteous manner regarding transportation to the airport terminal
  • Inquire about service, satisfaction, and document dissatisfaction – goal is to exceed customers’ expectations
  • Check vehicle for damage on incoming vehicles and direct customer to the counter for completion of damage/loss report
  • Use of proper statement to determine if vehicle is being returned with full tank of gas
  • Complete a service alert for any mechanical and or body damage communicated by the customers
  • Identify and tag vehicles that have been flagged for grounding or preventative maintenance and verify their movement to the proper lot location
  • Physically inventory every vehicle
  • Make keys available for rent, issue keys to customers, verify customer’s identification, and vehicle exchanges
  • Keep lot organized for ease of access and traffic flow
  • Company provided uniform to be worn at all times
  • Must wear safety eyewear at all times when entering a service area
  • Must wear slip resistant footwear in service areas (when applicable)

What You Bring:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year customer service experience is preferred
  • Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills required
  • Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Must have the ability to manage stressful or unusual situations in order to maintain good customer service
  • Must have the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including day and/or evening hours
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish preferred but not required
  • Ability to communicate in other languages (Portuguese, Russian, German or French) is a plus
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
