Reporting to the Accreditation Venue Manager, the Accreditation Venue Deputy Manager will support the planning and delivery of accreditation operations at an assigned venue during Games-time. This role will assist with the management of the Venue Accreditation Centre (VAC), oversee daily processes, and help ensure accredited client groups can access thevenue smoothly and securely.
Working as part of the wider accreditation operations network, the Accreditation Venue Deputy Manager will collaborate closely with the Accreditation Venue Manager and other functional areas—such as Venue Management, Security, Workforce, Sport, and Technology—to deliver efficient, secure, and consistent accreditation services that contribute to successful venue operations.
Working arrangements
The role will initially be based at the Organising Company’s Glasgow city centre office, with visits to competition venues as required to support the effective delivery of responsibilities. As the Games approach, the role will transition to being primarily based at your assigned competition venue.
The position is initially contracted for 37.5 hours per week (with a 30-minute lunch break), with office attendance aligned to the Organising Company’s working pattern. During the Games-time operational period, shift patterns will apply and may include evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the Accreditation Venue Manager in delivering on-site accreditation operations at the assigned venue.• Assist in the daily management of the Venue Accreditation Centre, ensuring effective staff coordination, service quality, and adherence to operational plans.• Supervise VAC team members and support staff training, scheduling, and issue resolution.• Help oversee the printing, distribution, and validation of accreditation passes in line with Games policies and security protocols.• Maintain secure handling and accurate recording of accreditation materials and data.• Act as a point of contact for accreditation-related queries, liaising with venue teams and other stakeholders as required.• Support pre-opening preparations, including set-up, inventory checks, equipment testing, and readiness activities.• Contribute to daily briefings, reporting, and operational updates to the Accreditation Venue Manager.• Assist with post-event decommissioning, equipment return, and system close-out.• Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and positive work environment within the VAC team, supporting staff welfare and engagement.
