As an Account/Territory Sales Manager for Barkey medical devices, you will drive growth by promoting and selling our clinical temperature‑management solutions—including warming devices for infusions, blood products, and patient care—to hospitals, clinics, research institutes, and other healthcare providers.
Using your expertise in the medical device sector, you will expand our market presence, build long‑term customer relationships, and develop strategic partnerships that strengthen Azenta’s position in the clinical environment.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan aligned with Azenta’s medical device business objectives, focusing on regional growth, new customer acquisition, and expansion within existing clinical accounts.

  • Achieve annual sales targets across your territory by effectively managing key accounts, generating new leads, and nurturing strong customer relationships within hospitals, clinics, and emergency medical services.

  • Deliver quarterly and annual forecasts, providing accurate reporting and strong CRM discipline using Salesforce.

  • Demonstrate in‑depth knowledge of Barkey’s medical device portfolio, explaining how our solutions support patient safety, improve clinical workflows, and help meet regulatory and hygiene standards.

  • Conduct on‑site product demonstrations, including device operation, safety features, and integration into clinical environments such as OR, ICU, NICU, and emergency departments.

  • Support clinicians and biomedical engineering teams with technical information, training, and post‑installation follow‑up.

  • Identify new business opportunities, including regional tenders, technology upgrades, and unmet clinical needs.

  • Represent Azenta at clinical congresses, workshops, and hospital events, acting as a professional brand ambassador.

  • Collaborate with distributor partners by supporting customer visits, training sessions, and joint marketing activities where needed.

  • Plan efficient territory routes to maximize high‑quality, in‑person interactions with clinical stakeholders.

  • Collect and communicate market intelligence on competitor activity, customer feedback, and clinical workflow challenges to support continuous product improvement.

  • Ensure full compliance with medical device regulations in communication, documentation, and customer interaction.

  • Provide quotations, device samples for evaluation, and timely follow‑ups to accelerate the decision‑making process.

What you’ll bring

The ideal candidate brings strong commercial and scientific experience within the clinical or medical device sector.

  • A BSc or higher in a Life Science field such as Medical Science, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing Science, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.

  • Sales experience in the medical device market, ideally involving devices used in hospitals, emergency services, or clinical laboratories.

  • Ability to demonstrate medical devices safely and confidently, addressing clinical workflows, hygiene/safety requirements, and use‑case scenarios.

  • Experience working toward sales targets and managing time effectively to achieve business goals.

  • A proactive, self‑motivated, and enthusiastic approach with the ability to communicate technical device information clearly to clinicians, nurses, and biomedical engineers.

  • Strong awareness of the healthcare/clinical device market, including competitor activities, procurement structures, and current trends in patient‑care technology.

  • Fluency in German and English (B2 or above).

  • Ideally based in or near Stuttgart, Munich, or Freiburg.

  • Must hold or be willing to obtain the certification “Medizinprodukteberater“ in accordance with §31 MPG (or its successor regulation).

Our offer

  • Become part of a company that makes a positive contribution to pioneering scientific developments and therapies.

  • Positive corporate culture and active teamwork across all locations.

  • Individual development opportunities for your international skills and language skills.
